About Charlie

Hello, friends!�%A0 My name is Charlie, and I find myself in a bit of a pickle.�%A0 After 10 years with my people, they grew too ill to care for me, and I am now living in what they call a 'foster home'.�%A0 Don't get me wrong, Foster Mom is okay, except for when she wants to clean my face and give me baths.�%A0 And I do like my foster brother.�%A0 He lets me play video games with him, and I enjoy sitting with him and helping him beat the zombies.�%A0 But, back to my problem. I need a new family who will let me sleep in the big bed and take me for walks, because I LOOOOVE walks!�%A0 And a new family that will take me to the park, and for rides in the car to get a pup cup at the local ice cream place, and to love me like my first family did so I can love them forever, too.�%A0 Foster Mom says I am a large standard dachshund (35ish lbs) and that I am a good boy who knows how to go outside to 'take care of business'.�%A0 I am sometimes hesitant about going through the door alone, but if you put my leash on, I will follow you anywhere.�%A0 She also says I am heartworm negative and that I need to be on weight control food.�%A0 I don't agree with that last part, but she says fat doxies - even standard sized ones - are a bad thing.�%A0 I have been through a lot in the last month, what with losing my family and all.�%A0 It may take me a few days to figure out what my new family wants from me, and I may have a bit of separation anxiety and want to follow you everywhere for a while.�%A0 And I want to sit next to you and sleep next to you and be your best buddy.�%A0 I like other dogs just fine and older kids are okay, especially if they take me for a walk.�%A0 I am now accepting applications for a new family and if you will fill out the paperwork and go through the adoption process, I can be your awesome new forever friend!�%A0 So, let's get started, please go to our website to fill out an application for me!I am being fostered in Smithfield, VA. www.sophiasgracefoundation.org �'��
