About Duke

Duke (formerly Charlie) was found on the side of the road by a good Samaritan in 2017. He had a skin and ear infection which we cleared up! Duke went to live with a family in New Bern but they soon realized he needs to be an only dog, and probably best in a home with one human. He does not like to share attention! Duke is a lover, sleeps under the covers, and enjoys being outside! He loves his Granny! We think he may have been with an older human. Duke is roughly 6 years old now, and needs a home with calm stability, that isn't too active (except for a yard!). While he can go on walks, he would need to not be walked near other pets. He also is NOT a fan of the vet, and our vet can muzzle him quickly and get him on his way! We don't think Duke was every socialized in his early life, and probably never saw anyone but that one human. We truly want the best for him and would love for that special person to take him home! Duke is located in New Bern, NC and weighs approx 13#. He is UTD on vaccines, neutered, and HW negative!
