About Zoey

This dog will be dead this week, Thursday! please help!!! IF anyone is interested in adopting her , the rescue will make sure shes had all medical done and pull her for you. If another rescue can offer her space, we will help transport! Zoey (A158178) is an approximately 2-year-old spayed female pittie weighing 70 lbs. She came in as a stray, but her owners never came to redeem her. Poor Zoey is such a gentle soul, and the scary shelter environment has been quite overwhelming for her. She is overall pretty nervous and seems to have a tough time settling down and relaxing. She continues to gain more confidence everyday, and did wonderfully when brought in to our office today. We even got some goofy, wiggly cuddles out of her: https://youtu.be/uR3NQXW2e00 During her behavior evaluation, she was very independent and seemed distracted by the surroundings outside of the yard. Although she remained stiff throughout the eval, she tolerate all handling and readily gave up food/treats. During her dog test, she immediately ran up to the other dog to social sniff, but growled at him when began sniffing under her stomach. At this point we are confident that she is just terrified all around, and will likely need help from a very calm dog in order to feel more comfortable around other dogs. 530-297-8544 text only, please, this dog will be euthanized Thursday!
