About Yuki

I posted about Yuki a few months ago, but the process got interrupted for family reasons. We are now ready to find a new owner for our male, neutered chihuahua who is 10 years old and very cute -- black with white markings. He is a great companion and very loyal, loves sitting on his owner's lap. He also loves walks and being outside. He has moderate energy and sleeps a lot, snuggled under a blanket or on someone's lap. He seems to like cats but has never lived with another dog. He likes affection and can be quite sweet when things are on his terms. He recently received a clean bill of health at his yearly check-up. Unfortunately, he is not good with children. He has some anxiety, which seems to increase around children and strangers. We have owned him since he was a puppy, but since the birth of our child, he has had trouble adjusting. He has displayed some marking, aggression, nipping, and increased barking. Although he showed some dominance behaviors before the baby was born, they have definitely increased. We are sad to give him up but think he would be happier in a less stressful environment. He is accustomed to being alone during the work day, and he is pee-pad trained. He is very smart and knows standard tricks like sit, lie down, stay, up, wait.
