Jethro is a 9 year old Chihuahua mix who weighs 11pounds. He came to our rescue with another dog (Leeroy) when his owner died and they were brought to a local shelter. We were happy to take both of them out of the shelter and put them in loving foster homes. Jethro does ok with the other dogs in his foster home but doesn't seem particularly fond of them. Because he can be skittish, he would not be suitable in a home with children. Jethro is working on his housebreaking skills. He has not been tested with cats. He is heartworm negative, and microchipped. Jethro will need a yard that is fenced and his new family must be cautious as he will try and bolt out of the door. He is a very sweet boy, but is going to need a family that will be patient with him, and allow him to come out of his shell at his own pace. He has come a long way in the short time he's been with his foster family. He follows them around the house wagging his little tail all the time. He has also been learning to walk on a leash.
