About Lucy

Hello! I am looking to rehome this sweet girl. Her name is Lucy, she is 16 years old as of February 4th but shes acts more like a puppy. For 15 years she lived in the home of an elderly couple, one with severe alzheimer's and the other recently diagnosed with renal failure (given less than six months to live). I rehomed them for her, but she has been rejected four times over a 3 month timespan. Lucy is often ignored and depressed with the environment she lives in. She is my baby, and I would do anything to take her, but with some personal struggles and being a college student, I am not able to give her the life she deserves. Lucy does well with other small dogs and cats. She often ignores them. She is a Shih Tzu with the kindest personality and grateful heart. I would prefer to give her to an individual who is a dog fanatic and is home often. Someone who will take her on walks, play with her and give her belly rubbins. Lucy doesn't like to be alone. Lucy had her teeth cleaned and several extracted in September 2017 so no dental procedures should be necessary. She is fixed. She is also up to date on vaccinations. She has some eye ointment she needs twice daily but she welcomes her eye cleanings. She doesn't seem to have any joint issues. She is deaf but can see although she does have ear infections often. I am happy to buy supplies to start you off so that all you need to do at first is get to know her and realize how incredible she is just as I do. I would like to meet anyone who is interested first and allow you to meet Lucy before I rehome her. As I said, she is my baby and this is so difficult for me to give her to another.
