Jake came to our rescue from Albuquerque, New Mexico. His owners had surrendered him to the shelter due to moving. Jake was more than likely a backyard dog. We kind of call him our junkyard foster dog because he has a split in one ear and he was filthy. He went to the groomers which he loved, was neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. He jumped on a 2 day transport to Mountain Home. Here in our home he has learned the dog door and loves being inside with us and our dogs. He also is crate trained but loves sleeping on a dog bed as well. He enjoys walks, hikes, romps in the snow, or just hanging out with you. He is a great companion dog. He is very gentle, knows his sit and stay. Walks very well on a leash and rides great in the car. We would like Jake to go to a home where he can enjoy life as a companion dog and enjoy being an indoor dog. Jake is 8 years young, healthy, and 50lbs.
