About Oh Henry!

. Henry is happy and bouncy, silly and playful. Henry is a big teddy bear of a dog that loves to spend his days romping in the yard with his little buddies(they are ALL a fraction of his size.) Henry does not realize he is such a big oaf of a dog an even lets a 5 pound chihuahua boss him around. That's OK tho, Henry does not want to be in charge he is just here for the fun and by golly he deserves it. Henry had a rough start in life and at just 10 months old already knows what it feels like to be neglected and unloved. He may have spent his life on a short tie out, at first he was even afraid to walk and move around. How sad to think of an innocent puppy destined to such a horrible existence. But thankfully that is all behind him and he has a full, happy and live filled life ahead of him. Dogs are so resilient and Henry is bouncing back. He was at a large shelter where he pancaked himself to the floor and would not move. When he came to us for a little extra help it took him a day to check us out and feel brave enough to move around. Once he did tho he never looked back and is becoming quite confident and really letting his hair down. He will need a very loving and patient family that perhaps has had experience working with a fearful dog. He must have a fenced in yard and another dog or two in the house would be a big help. Henry gained confidence from his peers, learned to play and it helps him to see how they interact with us people. Henry is also heartworm positive, yep, at just 10 months old, poor guy. The good news is that it was caught so early and that he is being treated now and can continue with that in his adoptive home. (we supply the meds and follow up testing.) Henry is an incredibly smart boy and learns so quickly, he is a very special guy. Often the strongest bond between a dog and his person is formed when one is helping the other, Henry will be forever grateful. His adoption fee is just $150. Henry has a great big bed he loves that will go home with him and some rough and tumble toys that he has just discovered how FUN they are, plenty of food and treats and he will be good to go!
