About Tucker

Sweet little Tucker. I was out having lunch with a friend and my phone kept beeping. So many people were contacting me to save Tucker at the 'shelter'. He was on the euthanasia list for that day. After several tries I got thru and got him! The next day he was transported to me and went to the vet. Poor boy had ��%BD��%BD��%BDeas, terrible fur, breathing issues and horrid teeth. We got him all vetted and pretty. He was given several lavender baths and coconut oil massages. I love him! He's an old guy, estimated to be 12-ish. He has some vision issues due to his age and his back has problems. When he was xrayed we saw a couple of areas on his spine where his vertebrae were closer than they should be, causing some aches and he has a calci��%BD��%BD%81ed area between two vertebrae that is causing some nerve pain. Due to his age surgery would be dangerous unless absolutely nothing else can be done. Tucker is on meds to control his aches and pains. Nothing expensive, just maintenance meds. I've also used CBD oil to keep him comfortable. He has a quirky little walk that only makes him more precious. He just needs a home and someone to love him for the few years he may have left. He just loves to sit on your lap and will immediately nuzzle his head into you. When he ��%BD��%BD%81rst came he would lay on the hard ��%BD��%BD��%BDoor while all the other dogs were cuddled in dog beds and comforters. He asked for nothing and I really think he never had anything. The ��%BD��%BD%81rst time I picked him up to sit on my lap I thought I'd cry. He just melted into me and went to sleep. Now he will get in line to get picked up onto the couch. He sleeps in the big bed and is happy just to be included.He's standing next to me right now looking up at me as I type. So sweet. He has the same look on his face day in and day out. It's the same face that grabbed my heart in his shelter photo.Needing more love in your life? Please give Tucker a chance. He only wants a soft life in his old age. He loves food, is good getting bathed and is totally house broken. His only minus? He can't see well enough to grab a treat from your hand so you'd better be quick! Those old teeth are sharp!Tucker is living in NE Ohio but can be transported within reason.
