NOTE: - Oklahoma Jack Russell Rescue welcomes out of state adopters. Please see out application policy below. Penny is a fun approximately 8 month old puppy. We believe she is a Jack Russell/Toy Fox Terrier mix. Penny is crate and doggie door and house trained. Penny is great with other dogs, people and kids. She loves to cuddle and enjoy time with her people. She will remain a very small dog of less then 15 lbs. Her adoption fee is $175 and includes her spay, up to date vaccinations, heartworm tested and on preventative, deworming and microchipped. All our Jacks are either here at the rescue or in private foster homes learning to be wonderful companion dogs before being adopted. Much in the same way a realtor will only show homes to buyers with a pre-approval letter from a lender, we will only show dogs to folks with a pre-approved application so as not to intrude on our foster homes any more than necessary. It is the best way we know to keep our foster homes happy. Please understand this critical part of the process. (2) What if you fall in love, and then aren't approved? Awkward. (3) Once you are approved, even if we don't have what you are looking for now, you could be at the front of the line when the love of your life does arrive. (We can't express enough how quickly our dogs are adopted, by the time you complete the application, the dog you are interested in could be gone.) (4) We welcome out of state adopters who have exceptional vet references! Out of state adopters must be willing to either pick up the dog in person or to secure suitable transport (we will try to suggest some paid/unpaid options) however, if there is any cost for transport, it will be at your expense. (5) Completing an application does not obligate you to adopt from us. We specialize in helping adopters find the right Jack to add to their home, not just any dog. Some adopters have very specific requests or needs and we work with them over weeks, months and sometimes a year to find them the perfect Jack.
