SUKI THIS IS A COURTESY POST (Meaning, she is not W.O.W Dog Rescues Dog, just helping her find her forever home. Suki SUKI IS THE PERFECT DOG FOR A RETIRED OR SINGLE PERSON WITH NO KIDS AND A YARD! '| We are adopting out a long haired Chihuahua that was my son's dog for the past 2 years, but he ended up moving into a place that was not a good situation for her and we are downsizing to a community that will only allow 2 dogs and we have 3. She is a very obedient, very smart and very loving, She has a super cute personality and really playful! We believe she was about a year or less when my son got her, so we think she is now about 4 years old. She is 'fixed' and up to date on all her shots, and in perfect health (better than our pedigrees)! She is super loving, cuddly, and very well mannered dog, and great with the people she knows (just very nervous around new people, and barks a lot at them'|but with a little coaching she does get used to the 'regular' visitors and usually after just 3-5 meetings with them she is fine. She is not fond of children, so would not recommend a home with kids, and seems more barky when we have contractors but we just kennel her in the other room and she is fine. She doesn't mind going to kennel, and it isn't used for punishment. She does about a half dozen really cute tricks, she is kennel, potty and doggie-door trained, (never any accidents!!!). She is good with other dogs...a little bossy and likes to be leader of the pack...but very sociable with other dogs that she knows, but seems more nervous around bigger or hyper dogs but fine if they are about her size (10-15 lbs)'|however, I still think she would do best as an only pet, Not really sure how she would do with a cat, she likes to bark and chase the ones that walk on our wall, but may be fine with one as a housemate, but can't tell you for sure on that. She also does really well on a leash (with a harness), never runs away and listens to commands, she always aims to please! She is good for car rides, and is surprisingly pretty good at the vet and groomers as long as I am with her, but I usually just have them muzzle her when they take her in without me (just for both hers and their safety) . She loves to be outside and has never been destructive to the yard or property, she is very well behaved and obedient, very smart and a great watch dog...very protective of her yard, and loves to cuddle and watch TV with us each evening. **She is still very playful with lots of spunk, she does a whole dance when we come home (will try to get a video of this later). I feel she would be great with a senior citizen or maybe a single adult that has no kids or someone that works from home. She seems to do best when she is with others and less excited when she is not alone for too long or kenneled for extended periods of time. I work from home so I am usually here 2-3 days a week, and other family is always coming and going, so she is used to having company with people and other dogs all day, and when we do have to leave her for longer times, we usually just leave her gated in our kitchen with access to the back yard all day (did I mention she LOVES the backyard!) Suki's adoption fee is set at $175.00 If interested in her, please complete a application on our website www.wowdogrescue.org Your application will be sent to the owner, if it is approved. They will contact you and set up a time to meet her. IF you still see that Suki is NOT marked ADOPTED, then she is Still available. Thanks for wanting to rescue your next family member!!
