About Skittles

Skittles is available for foster or adoption. We are a foster-based rescue and always looking for foster families! Skittles is currently fostered in Dade City, FL (Pasco County). Skittles is about 1.5 years old and weighs shy of 40 lbs. She is a sweet girl who came from a hoarding case and takes a little while to warm up. Once she gets over her initial shyness, she loves belly rubs. Due to her past, she needs needs structure and boundaries set in her new home, as any dog would. She does well with other dogs and is playful, but does have some issues around resources with other dogs, so she will absolutely need to be fed in a crate (something we strongly recommend for any dog) and worked with in this regard. She does not like loud noises like gunshots. She is housebroken and crate trained, and absolutely needs a crate in her new home - it is her sanctuary. Skittles is spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, preventives and heartworm negative, and will be microchipped prior to adoption.
