AS OF 2/28/18 PETEY HAS BEEN IN RESCUE 531 DAYS. Petey is available for foster or adoption. We are a foster-based rescue and are always looking for fosters! Petey is currently fostered in Dade City, FL (Pasco County). Petey is an Australian cattle dog mix, likely with staffy, of 3 years and about 65 lbs. He does need to lose about 10 lbs. He is full of fun and a really nice boy. Ewenity saved him from Hillsborough Animal Control well over a year ago and he has been overlooked in rescue ever since! He is a cuddly and sweet guy who listens well and sleeps through the night near his person. Petey is very toy-driven and loves to play ball and tug. He has about an average energy level for a young dog. Petey also loves water and would enjoy days on the boat or at the beach in his forever home. He rides great in a car and would enjoy going for adventures. He would be fine in a home as an only dog, or with a dog who wouldn't clash with his alpha side. He does enjoy a good game of tug with his doggie pals. He is crate trained, up-to-date on preventives and vaccines, neutered, heartworm negative and microchipped.
