About Hugo

Welcome Hugo! Hugo is a darling boy (really long legs) who is an endearing mix (we think Shiba Inu, Chi, Manchester Terrier) who weighs just under 20lbs. He LOVES tennis balls, toys, walks, runs, and snuggling most of all. If you are looking for a sweet boy who will be by your side look no further! Hugo has been introduced to smaller and larger dogs in his foster home and even cats. He does well with all although will try to play and chase a cat so a dog savvy cat with a way to get away if needed would be recommended. He loves to bury himself under covers of any kind and really loves to be next to you. He has been left alone for up to five hours at a time and we are continuing to work with him on his house manners. Hugo was thought to have been a senior although Hugo is only 3-4 years old, we knew he needed help immediately so we sprung into action. He is a bit shy at first although warms up quickly, he would do well with children over 10. He knows sit, lie down and shake and if you say Hugo go lie down he will go to his bed. He is very smart and would do well with a family who would love to teach him more tricks and be willing to continue working with him on his house manners. Hugo has been vaccinated, mircrochipped, a full blood panel with urinalysis and was recently neutered.
