About MILO

Adoption Fee: $ 275.00
Yorkie / Schnauzer
Age: Senior
Sex: Male

SAY HELLO TO MILO ! Milo is an adorable 10 years young Schnauzer mix boy. But don't let his age fool you ~ this boy is full of energy and life and is such a great companion and a ray of light to his foster's family! Weighing in at 10 pounds, Milo came to us through no fault of his own. He belonged to a 'popular for profit rescue' here in the Valley who then reached out to us that they had too many dogs. Unknown to us when surrendered, Milo had a large mass on his head which we discovered. Our vets removed the mass but unfortunately when it was sutured, the skin was pulled so tight that he was unable to close his right eye and it eventually had to be removed. What can we say about this wonderful boy? He enjoys his rides in the car did great in the as he just lays down in his bed. He is a great walker with the harness and leash. Milo is very trainable and extremely smart and is such a fun loving dog! Milo is VERY treat oriented he will do anything for one!He knows the command 'sit' and 'paw' and is learning to take treats 'easy' and will need that command for awhile until he learns. Milo loves toys and he loves tug of war but he can be very rough. We taught Milo not to grab for the toy during the retrieving process so he needs to here the word release and then he needs to sit so he doesn't playfully grab for the toy which could hurt little hands. Milo loves to be with family. He loves to be rubbed on and be near you. He talks a lot when he wants you to play. He is not barky, but will talk to the neighbors dog over the fence if he starts the conversation! Like many older dogs, Milo has a few other lumps and bumps which our vet feel are harmless cysts. Milo is a longer coated breed who will need regular brushing as well as professional grooming every 6 to 8 weeks. Milo's adoption fee is 275.00 This fee includes is neuter, all vaccinations including rabies and bordatella, de-worming, microchip with lifetime registration and professional groom.
