About kookie

Kookie (cookie with a K) is a beautiful catahoula mix who came up on my porch 3 years ago as a stray. She had heartworms when she came and we took care of that. She is in great health now. She is housebroken, sits, lays down on command, smart and loves cuddling. But she is super high energy, super needy and has destroyed every dog bed, blanket, whatever I get her. She can't stand to be alone and destroys all toys including the kevlar, kongs, etc except the zogoflex. She would be great for someone who has land or large yard. I do not. She walks on lease but pulls hard and makes attempts to bolt through open doors at every chance and is an escape artist. She does eventually return but has been picked up by animal control a couple of times. She is super sweet but also cannot stand not to be the absolute center of any affection which has caused issues when she gets between my wife and son(not aggressive, just pushy). I'd need to be a marathon runner to wear her out and I don't have the time.
