About Lexie

Lexie is a beautiful 4-year-old rust colored cocker that was rescued from a high kill shelter. She was picked up in Manatee County for abuse and neglect. She gets along with the other dog and two cats in her now foster home. Lexie is very protective of the owner and is a great watchdog. She loves belly rubs, hunting lizards, and retrieving toys. She likes car rides, long walks, and routine. She only likes being in the fenced yard if the owner is also outside. Lexie is active and needs a home where people are present and active, but she likes sitting or lying next to her person, too. A home without kids is preferred. Lexie's only fault is that she is highly dog selective so a meet and greet is a must if there are other pups in her future adoptive home.
