Purebred (no papers) small standard poodle (50 lbs). Neuter surgery scheduled. Came from breeder program reduction situation, has adjusted well, but will need continued work on socialization (humans and dogs). Best if he can be the only dog. Plays fetch, knows 'sit', and 'go potty', learning to go to his 'bed' on command. Quiet in the house, 95% housebroken - has had occasional accidents in the first few days of foster. Walks on loose leash excellently without pulling. Has done well with both men and women, but seems to prefer women. Would also be okay with older teenage children who are respectful, but not advised for homes with small children. This dog will need continued socialization to achieve his full potential, and will make a GREAT dog for the right home. Preference given to experienced poodle owning home. Potential adopters should be able to provide references from veterinarian and/or groomer.
