About Darrell

Nicknames: Darrell the Deaf, Darrell the Destroyer (Bad to the Bone), Darrell the Doofus Hobbies: destroying toys, running back and forth for no particular reason, looking at himself in the mirror, taking naps, and following people around How life changes drastically in the blink of an eye. Let me tell you my story: In February 2017 I got hit by a bus when I ran out into the street after a man and his dog who accosted my owner. Unfortunately I am deaf so I could not hear anyone calling my name. My owner rushed me to the emergency vet but had to surrender me after the vet discovered that I had a fractured leg and needed $3000+ surgery. Fast forward to a year after my recovery: I'm around 3 years old and (as far as everyone knows) I am deaf. I get a little over-excited around food and even more-so around cats, so I will need to do a meet and greet with any potential new siblings. I may be deaf, but my foster has taught me sign language, so I am actually super smart! As mentioned above, I like naps, mirrors, and romping around in the grass. Water and baths are definitely no-no's but I may be persuaded if peanut butter is involved in the deal...
