About Riley

Our family got very busy in the blink of an eye and we just don't have the time and energy to give Riley the level or care and love he needs. We got him from the humane society after we lost our previous dog who was 15. We fell in love with Riley right away and he got attached to us very quickly. However, over time we started to notice he requires a lot more attention than what our family can give him. We both work and go to school and have 2 kids that love him, but are just too busy with school and activities. Riley has separation anxiety and we have going to doggy daycare to be around other dogs, but we cannot live him alone in our home because he becomes to anxious whenever he is alone. We have tried multiple different things to try and help him cope with his anxiety without any luck. We did not want to return him to the shelter because we know he needs the room to grow and burn off energy. We just want him to go to the right place and be cared for in the way we know he deserves to be.
