About Jake

This dog adopted us about 3 years ago when our Pyrennes was still alive. His original owner left town and dropped 3 pups off around the county. He stuck around after we had to put our old fellow down. We can't get within 10 feet of him, he's never had shots to my knowledge. We got an Aussie/Pyr mixed pup six months ago and he liked her until we had her spayed. Now any chance he gets, he takes her to be rehomed, the longest trip over 6 miles away. He stays with her until the new people bring her in, then comes back home. It's like he cares for her but wants her somewhere else. We don't want to put him down, but don't want to have to keep the new pup locked up all the time either. He's a good protector, and gets along with the cats and chickens, just doesn't want any other dogs around. He's been kind when our kids brought theirs out, although he did tangle with the neighbors male heeler a couple years ago. He's never shown aggression toward any humans since he is people shy, just marks all tires when anyone is around.
