About Cooper

FOSTER LOCATION: Boise, ID This bundle of love and devotion is Cooper. He's 8 or 9 years old and believed to be a mix of Dachshund and Pomeranian. Cooper came to Fuzzy Pawz Rescue after his loving owner passed away. He is an extremely good companion, excellent company, and would love to have loads of snuggle time. Cooper loves his people and wants to be with them a lot and would love to have the undivided attention of people who are home more than not. Cooper has never lived with children and we are unsure that he would do well with crazy little feet running around the house so no kids under 10 please. He is a 'leaner', and will come get attention from you whenever you look like you might have a free hand. He has also been known to pet himself with your foot if your hand isn't cooperating in the way he thinks it should. He would love nothing more than to sit on your lap and curl up with you while you watch tv or read a book. Cooper has lived with a cat and did well and he is okay with other dogs; but big dogs scare him and he will bark and growl to keep them away from him. To be honest Cooper would really probably love to be the only dog in the home so he didn't have to share the attention. Cooper is afraid of thunder and fireworks and he does well when he has the security of a Thunder Shirt, a reassuring word, and some scratches to help him through loud noises. Because he likes the security of a Thunder Shirt, he will let you put doggie jackets on him and kind of likes it. Cooper is extremely sweet. He's a very good walker and will listen when you are out on the leash. He definitely needs at least short walks every day. He is potty-trained and loves having a doggie door! He's a very well-mannered and loving companion for someone who wants a devoted lap pup. Cooper is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. There is a $75 adoption fee for Cooper.
