About Pancake: Photo forthcoming. Pancake has a very funny, quirky, and sweet personality. He's extremely affectionate with humans. If you sit down on the floor with him, he will immediately be in your lap, trying to curl up like a cat. He will do everything in his power to make sure you (and your lap) never leave from that spot with him on the floor. Truly, he is happiest with he is with his people. All he wants to do is be near folks who will give him pets and scratches. I know all corgis make funny sounds, but I feel like Pancake takes that to the extreme. He's very talkative and loves to be the center of attention. He's super friendly and social with all people (though he doesn't quite know how to interact with small children.) and will bounce from person to person, dog to dog at a dog park. He has energy to spare and loves to run around and play chase/fetch/whatever. He loves to destroy soft stuffed toys with methodical precision. Specific needs I think Pancake would benefit greatly from being the only dog in a home. He is relaxed and happy in this environment. He has had problems with aggression and anxiety when it comes to living with our other corgi. While it is best there not be any other dogs in the house, he does well with cats. He is playful but gentle with them, and definitely takes 'no' for an answer when either of our two cats tells him to back off. It is also best that there be no small children in his new home, but he is good with older kids. He will definitely need some leash training, as he is all over the place when we take him for walks. He gets leash anxiety if walking in close proximity to another dog or if a dog approaches him when he's on leash. He will growl or snap if the dog is too close or he pays too close attention to it. He's fine if it's just a passing by and we can redirect his attention. Also it should be noted he's a mischievous, little thief of a dog at times. I have a feeling this stems from him having so much energy not being burned off with us, but if something tempting is in reach, he will try to nip it away and take off with it. Notoriously, we once caught him trying to take my mother in law's purse out the doggy door. He wants whatever he's stolen, but he ultimately wants to be caught in the act so he can be chased around the backyard.
