About Archie

This cute little guy is Archie. Archie is a 9 year old Chihuahua mix. He is a little man at 11 pounds but he is full of personality. Archie came to us after being abandoned by his previous owners. He was so happy to be back in a house where it was warm and he got regular meals. He quickly bonded with his foster mom and made himself at home. Archie loves to be held and carried. But he is also very able to run and play. He is starting to play with stuffed toys and scamper around the house with them. Then he is ready for a nap. Archie loves dog beds and he likes the coziness of a kennel. Archie gets along with other dogs his size, but he is not fond of puppy energy. Archie wants to be with his people and is happy to spend as much time together as he can. Archie is housetrained and enjoys a fenced yard where he can get some exercise and enjoy the sun. Like most Chihuahua's he is happiest when he can sleep in the sunshine. Archie recently had his teeth cleaned and he is pretty healthy for a senior dog. He has a grade 3 of 6 heart murmur. Right now it is not causing him any issues and he is not on any medication for it. Over time he may need to be on medication to manage it. He has a little old man arthritis, but with some glucosamine he is running and playing. Archie is a happy little nugget ready to start his new life in a new home. Maybe it could be yours. Archie is up to date on vaccinations, neutered, heartworm tested and microchipped. Because of his size and his age he should not be in a home with small children under the age of 7.
