About Lucas

Lucas is a 9 week old male Australian Shepard mix who was left in a box at a food bank in Tuba City. He is an extremely smart boy with an amazing potential. His ideal home will be with an experienced big breed pet parent. And big breed he will be. While we cannot have an exact idea how big, considering that he is only 9 weeks old and is already 13 lbs it is fairly safe to say he will be over 50+lbs. Lucas is one of the more submissive and mellow mannered of his siblings, but as a growing boy he will still need plenty of training as he grows so that he can be a true gentleman. . He is extremely smart and learned the doggie door at a very young age. He is kennel trained in the sense that he does not potty in one, but he is not at all content in a kennel and will let that unhappiness be known to all! He loves to be outside running and playing so for this reason, no apartments please. His adoption fee is $350 which will include a free vet visit and 30 days of pet insurance.
