About Roxie

My owner became very sick and could no longer care for me. It's hard to be a 13 year old dog entering the shelter environment. I do love my new friends here at Michiana, but I really would like to be in someone's home. My name is Roxie. I am 13 years old, am spayed, and am looking for a family to love me for however many years I have left. I've already shown the MHS staff what an absolute sweetheart I am. I am gentle and quiet and I work hard to make sure they know I have a top notch temperament. I am beyond wonderful with people. I've been around all ages - little children included - and love everyone's company. At my age, I just want to hang out near you. But, please don't let it deter you from taking me on walks! I may not be a spring chicken, but I sure do have pep in my step and love walks! My friends here say that medically I am pretty fantastic! My bloodwork came back and everything is great! I do have a few lumps and bumps, but nothing of concern. I'm a friendly girl to cats. I really don't pay much attention to them. I haven't been around too many other dogs at the shelter yet, but if the resident dog was relaxed and maybe older, it may be nice to have a furry friend in my new home. I'd also be content to just be the center of your attention with no other animals. I'm an easy-going pup. I know I can make you happy and bring you many smiles. Please let me try. Come meet me.
