About Penny

We've had Penny for almost 2 years now, we'd love to find her a forever home. She has had very little interest, once people find out they'll have to take time getting to know her and can't take her home after the first meeting, they stop responding to us. She originally came to us as a stray, she was stuck on the I-10 for over a week. She was so skittish she had to be humanely trapped by a professional trapper, then came to us. She was already spayed and microchipped, but when we contacted her owners they never responded to us. ���� She is still very skittish around people when she first meets them, it takes her a good week to become fully okay with a new person. She will never be the type of dog that will enjoy company coming over or being in social situations. She needs someone that is okay with her staying at home with you most of the time. Once she gets to know you she's a total sweetheart! At this time Penny needs to be the only animal in the home. No kids please, she wouldn't appreciate their friends coming over. �٪� She is a 3 year old chocolate lab mix. Potty trained, crate trained, and knows some basic commands.
