This amber-eyed beauty will melt your heart! She has a very sweet and loyal temperament and enjoys being a 55 lb lap dog. She will greet you with a howl and unlike most huskies, will bark at perceived threats, so she makes a great guard dog too. She loves playing with other huskies, but gets along best with male dogs. She is very playful and loves playing fetch and will actually toss her toys in the air and fetch them on her own. She does fine in the backyard during the day, but would do best in a home where her human is home most of the time and where she can feel like she is a member of the family. When she was rescued from the shelter, she was recovering from attack wounds where it was thought that she had been attacked by a pack of coyotes! Then, just two weeks after we brought her home, she was again attacked my an off-leash pitbull while on a walk and sustained more injuries! These attacks have made her very weary of 'stranger' dogs and she behaves fearfully and cowers when we come near them while on walks (I would too!). She is crate trained, house trained and knows basic commands like sit and lay down. She could use a bit more training on not jumping up on people, but I think she just gets so excited to see her humans that she can help herself. She is up to date with her vaccines, is fixed and is eating Taste of The Wild kibble, which agrees with her tummy. She does really good with kids of all ages and really enjoys car rides and hikes!
