About Shelby

This charming girl is Shelby. She is an Australian Cattledog/German Shorthair Pointer mix who is about 3 years old. She needs a home that doesn't leave her out in the yard where she may follow her urge to hop the fence and go visit neighbors. A home that keeps her inside when they are away will easily fix that. She is a medium-sized girl who weighs between 40-50 pounds. Shelby is looking for an active family that will integrate her into their lives. She loves to go on adventures and will appreciate someone who is a jogger, hiker, or frequent visitor to the dog beach. She rides nicely in the car and is good on leash. Shelby is a polite girl. She is crate trained and house trained. However, she is currently spending her one outside, so a quick refresher may be needed. Shelby is very friendly. She is good with men, women, and kids. She is also sweet with other dogs and shows herself to be more on the submissive side. She is even polite with livestock! Shelby fetches a little but is more driven when the other dogs go after the ball. She likes to join in the running and frolicking. She loves to have dog playmates and currently lives with three other dogs. Shelby is a smart girl. She knows shake, sit, stay, and comes when her name is called. Mostly, Shelby is a happy, wiggly girl. She really wants to please and be loved. She wags her tail a lot and would be a terrible guard dog, greeting people happily as they come into the house. She is a lovely family dog. Shelby is spayed and microchipped. She is located in Menifee. She is ready to meet potential adopters in SoCal. A home visit and vet reference are required.
