Four month old wirehaired female Dachshund puppy. This little girl has quite the story!! We were called by the manager at the Circle K not far from me......there was a homeless couple with a puppy....they may need help.....very cold night. I went down there and met Shelly and Gator and their cute little pup. I just casually talked to them to gain their trust....asked where they got her? The Walmart at 75th ave and McDowell.....they were being given away free! I wanted to cry! Why? These poor puppies just given away to anyone....how many are still alive I thought. These people could have surrendered them to a Rescue. I asked Shelly and Gator if they would like me to take the puppy and find it a great home....oh no! We love this puppy! I offered money....no way. So I told them...how about I vaccinate her so she won't get parvo and I can microchip her so she won't get lost.....they allowed me to do that for them. I also gave them my card with the Rescue address and my phone number should they need any help. I came back every week to check on them.....Shelly said they were at the Circle K every night. One night I came to see how they were doing because it was so cold and rainy. There was another homeless couple there.....they said that Shelly and Gator broke up but that Shelly had the puppy and she was at 44th st and Thomas. The next day Shelly came by our adoption center and surrendered the little puppy to us. Gator didn't like the puppy and she wanted it to have a great future.....I was so happy!! So now this little cutie who has had so much happen in her short little life is ready for adoption! She is super cute, spayed,microchipped and her vaccinations. Her adoption fee is $350.
