About Vader

Everyone meet the worlds greatest boy Vader! Vader is a handsome 14 month old pure bred German Shepherd who was at the shelter twice at no fault of his own. The first time Vader came into the shelter he was found roaming the streets, he was then adopted by a family who brought him back 20 minutes later saying he was 'extremely dog aggressive'. We couldn't help but fall in love with this big goofy boy so decided to take him in. Vader met all the dogs in the program and was the happiest boy all he wanted to do was play he loved every dog he met including tiny little puppies! We still are in shock that anyone would ever give this big lover up. This boy is what we call a show stopper anywhere he goes people always stop and say hi and have to pet him, when told he is a rescue from a high kill shelter everyone is shocked how a boy like him was ever given up. Vader is a very well bred German Shepherd he weighed in at 88lbs when he was all skin and bones, however has put on weight since being with us for a little over 2 weeks now. We believe he will max out at around 100lbs. If you are looking for an active pup that you can take hiking, to the beach on runs, etc this is the pup for you! Vader loves to be outdoors with his foster family. We are looking for a home for Vader WITH children as he LOVES them! He believes he's a lap dog and will sit on you, he follows the kids he currently fosters with everywhere! He loves to cuddle up on the couch by your side, and even in bed he's a really big snuggle bug. Vader has come a very long way since the day he has come out the shelter he is 100% house trained now, he does not have any separation anxiety, he is currently being leash trained and is hardly pulling anymore (his new owner must continue training as he is a big pup) We can't put into words how perfect this big cuddle bug is and how much happiness and joy he will bring to his new family. Vader would love a home with another active dog that he can play with as well as children. They truly do not come any greater than this guy here!
