About Roque

This animal is available to licensed rescue groups only. Please do not enquire unless with a licensed rescue group. Roque (pronounced Row-k) came from a Contra Costa shelter. He is maybe 4 years old, but acts and may in fact be much younger. Moved around a lot until I had him for about 5 months. Given training in most of the basics as he appeared to have not been trained. Knows most basic commands, but needs more practice (especially with recall) . Knows to relieve himself outside and shows when he needs to. Tries to be sneaky taking food. Loves to run and needs plenty of exercise, but no off leash unless in fenced park. Likes to have chew toys, but hard toys may cause gums to bleed. Has a sensitive stomach resulting in soft stool or mild diarrhea and eats a limited ingredients diet (currently Natural Balance brand). Oddly he may not start to eat unless you watch for the first few bites. Very friendly and gets along with dogs and children. May bark if feeling jealous or lonely for a few hours. When he trusts you he will sit between legs when called or tired. Needs someone to be with most of the day.
