About Heidi

Foster location: Nampa, ID Heidi is a 10-year-old spunky miniature Schnauzer weighing in at 11 lbs. She is full of zest and a love of life. Heidi, once bonded, is devoted to her person and follows her foster mom everywhere. Her preferred spot is in your lap. She has not shown any interest in playing with toys; however, she becomes the fun police if the other dogs in her foster home are playing by barking and chasing them. Heidi knows a few basic commands (come, no, sit, stay) and walks fairly well on leash when using a harness. Heidi will need to be in a securely fenced yard or on leash at all times as she has a tendency to go on a walkabout of her own choosing. Heidi is house trained, but needs potty breaks about every 4 hours and is crate trained. Heidi gets along with other dogs, but really just prefers to be with her human and do her own thing. She is unknown with cats. Heidi will require regular grooming to keep her looking her best and free of mats. Thank you to our friends at The Pet Groomers for getting Heidi cleaned up and free of the mats she came to us with. Heidi takes Proin to help with bladder leaking and will need to be on this medication for the rest of her life. Proin is fairly inexpensive, about $15 for a 60-day supply. Heidi is spayed, current on her vaccinations, microchipped and has recently had a dental.
