About Robby

ROBBY - A Handsome Pure Bred Golden Retriever Robby is a young, playful, and loyal (20 month old) pure bred Golden Retriever that is looking for an active home to show off all his many talents. Robby certainly takes the 'Retriever' part of his breed very seriously. Whether it is a tennis ball or any item that goes flying by, Robby is ready to quickly go and fetch and return with his new found item. Robby is a very athletic and energetic. He enjoys taking long walks in the neighborhood every day or just playing inside or outside his home. Robby is also a very intelligent dog, he knows all of his basic commands, though can use some additional work on the leash as he sometimes likes to pull. While Robby is social and friendly with other dogs he meets, both on walks and in other settings, he prefers not to share his home on any long term basis with other dogs. Unlike a typical Golden Retriever, Robby is a little more aloof when meeting new people and prefers to take his time getting comfortable with new two legged friends. Robby would do best with an experienced dog owner, someone who is used to larger breed dogs and preferably has had some working breed dog experience. Although he wouldn't need a home with a fenced in yard, Robby would be best suited in a more suburban or rural setting where he can get a lot of exercise. He would also do best in a home without young children. Robby is currently living with his original owners. He has a brother, but the two dogs unfortunately no longer get along and while it is a difficult decision, the owners understand that it would be best for Robby to find a caring and active home.
