About Corky

Corky came to us as a stray, so matted with hair and twigs that an emergency grooming visit was necessary (see picture). There was an adorable senior terrier mix under all of that hair! Corky was not without imperfections, however. He has had a dental cleaning to give him a healthier smile, he has had two masses under his skin removed, and he is covered with many warts. Perhaps this was why someone thought he wasn't worth taking care of? Their loss, our gain, as Corky is a very sweet old guy. Corky weighs about 20 lbs. and is approximately 10 years old. Corky is quite laid back and likes to be near his person. When he misses you, he will will let you know he is lonely or wants inside with a deep-throated gruff bark. He spends a good part of his day napping on his comfy crate bed. Corky would be a good companion for a retired person looking for an easy going dog without a lot of 'puppy energy'. He enjoys a daily walk at a leisurely pace. If you'd like to give Corky the retirement home he deserves, please contact us.
