Riley: 9 months; Sex: Male; Weight: 28 lbs (almost done growing); Height 18 inches; Activity Level: Active Companion; Breed: Heeler BC Blend; Coat: Black and White Rough Coat. Lively and loving Riley is at that wonderful stage in his youth where one can really groom him into a fine young man and teach him so much. An Alpha presence is perfect Riley needs to know there is a boss at all times who will continue with crate training as this is a must for him to use his crate den throughout the day, boundaries and structure in the home as well as fun games with colored rope toys that his human uses to create confidant play, tennis balls, and the Jolly Ball along with breaks for more serious structured 'work' obedience that he is doing which help him to focus on his jobs like neighborhood walks and stimulating environments. Riley loves people and has a lot of life experiences he is embarking on as well as early steps with dog socialization. He is not a fearful pup at all so thunder doesn't bother him he likes to play in the rain, travels well, good at the vet. He loves to give kisses get belly rough house type rubs and knows the wait command for affection; his favorite play move is leaping up onto your lap when asked. It is a must that Riley do training at home and professional classes that rescue will guide with. During his tween weeks of growth he was running loose on the streets, after having loving Samaritan foster care homes they didn't know what his needs were or felt capable of tapping into his rearing learning curves, each dog teaches us new things, he came to rescue. I have fun challenging Riley with things at home and on the leash when he can enjoy the new experiences. We take walks in many settings for socialization and fun exploring, he could jog in a quiet serene setting as well as being the type of pup who would get a thrill out of being on a on the boat. Ideal life for Riley is in a house with 6 foot wooden fenced sizeable and engaging yard, Alpha engaging owner who continue to train him, one older child above 10 who has the same in charge presence who will engage with him, possibly a female dog that is mature, confident, dog friendly and much larger than Riley that can teach him social cues better perhaps he missed this growing up. He is up to date and altered, on preventive, requires an application to adopt and home visit where applicable-donation is $300
