About Perry

We are a foster-based rescue and always looking for fosters! Perry is currently fostered in Casselberry, FL (Seminole County). Hi, my name is Perry. I'm a 13-month-old Australian cattle dog mix. I was born deaf but I don't let that stop me. My foster mom has taught me how to come and sit by using hand signals. I LOVE an awesome game of fetch. I'm a pretty ball-driven boy. If you toss me a treat I'll return your ball for it; I'm very treat motivated! What I lack in my hearing I make up for in other ways. I'm super smart! At least my foster mom says I am. I have a couple of human kids I've been hanging out with. I don't jump up on them at all. I'm a pretty high energy doggo but I settle down nicely after I've run off all my energy. I like my foster mom's cats as well. If they run I might chase them, but once they lay down, I get bored and wander off. Due to my deafness I don't always pick up on other dogs' cues, so it's best that I have slow introductions with other canines. But when I meet another dog I like, I can't wait to play! I've never met a person I didn't instantly love. I am trained to run on a treadmill, so if you have one and don't want to take me on a real run, I can do that! I really love a ball as mentioned before. Some of my other favorite toys are tugs, peanut butter filled Kongs and antlers. I've been in rescue for a while now. I'm really hoping I get my very own family soon. Might you be my people?
