About Mowgli

He is a sweet, cuddly, and playful, three year old, Toy Australian Shepherd. He loves to be pet and to play fetch, he loves the outdoors (we recently took him camping and he did great; he loved it). He is very territorial and barks a lot when people come in his house. But he is fine with strangers when on neutral territory and does eventually warm up to the strangers in the house. He is Very protective and loving of family and those he considers 'his people' he's very smart and can be very curious. He loves being around his people and hates being left alone. He is a shepherding dog and will try to nip at things that he considers to be beneath him (I.e. Vacuum cleaners, brooms, lawnmowers, and sometimes babies. We have a two month old baby and unfortunately, whenever he cries, mowgli gets really excited and tries to nip at his toes. We've tried to train it out of him but he's just gotten more rough about it. He now has tried to bite him several times and missed, biting the edge of his pjs instead. We love this dog but he doesn't seem to know how to control himself when he gets all excited and he's stronger than he knows. We just can't take the chance with such a little baby in the house.
