Ty (Tyra) was born at the end of September outside to a feral mom. Mom was probably moving kittens and Tyra was found all by herself. She was picked up and promptly brought to one of our FCR members. She was about 2 weeks old and in pretty bad shape. Her eyes were closed from infection and the water ran red from her blood where fleas had bitten her. She wasn't on solid food yet when she first came so had to suffer bottle feeding by a novice foster care mom. She has grown and prospered. She's fostered in a home with 2 other cats and 3 dogs. She'll stick up for herself if someone gets too rough. She likes to cuddle and will plow head first into the dogs' beds knowing those dogs are warm! Nothing seems to bother her; not even the vacuum cleaner. Right now she's in the follow you everywhere playing like a maniac until she's sleepy then asking to be held stage. She'll be fully vetted and ready for adoption by Christmas! You can fill out an application at feralcatrescuesomd.org if you are interested and email to [email protected] Once your application is approved, we can arrange a meeting because she is too young to go to the Petco in California for our adoption events on Saturdays and Sundays from 10:30 to 3
