Brooklyn is a sweetheart who struggles with anxiety. She was neglected in Philadelphia at birth and was pregnant with a litter of puppies when she was one year old. She was rescued and has been in a great home ever since. We are in need of a loving, nurturing home to take Brooklyn in as my wife and I expect our first child. Though Brooklyn is a joy to have around adults, kids make her very anxious. She is not aggressive or violent, but unpredictable and obviously uneasy around them. She is also this way around most dogs. We've experienced some good moments meeting other dogs as she loves some, but we have also seen her wily around others that give her a bad vibe. She definitely does not like cats though! Brooklyn takes medication for her anxiety (30mg of Fluexotine and 75mg of Trazodone). Our vet believes she could be broken of it but it would be a long journey (she is 7 years old). She simply takes her pills with peanut butter daily and she is fine. Brooklyn is a GREAT, loving dog who simply is hampered by anxiety. The ideal home would be warm, loving and pet/child free. She does fine during the day by herself with a routine (give her a kong with peanut butter in the morning and a walk and she's fine!) and she also loves people. Her heart spot on our back is a great mirror into the heart she has for cuddles, walks, playing with her bone and simply being right at your feet. A home with adults who aren't traveling often and have an affection for dogs with troubled pasts but lots of love is the perfect fit.
