Ginger was rescued along with 2 other cats from an abandoned house. Somehow she survived over 2 months without any care, attention or a constant source of food/water before a neighbor noticed one of the cats in the window and let them all outside. She then survived outdoors for nearly 2 months on a busy street, managing to thankfully stay clear of unheard traffic. After arriving here, we noticed Ginger wasn't responding the way the other cats do during feeding time... She slept through the noise of scurrying and meowing and even through pouring heaps of food. She is completely deaf in both ears, but has now learned feeding times and even lets us know if we're running a few minutes late! She is very sweet and craves constant attention. She chirps, purrs and meows to let you know she's around or wants something and she loves her back and head scratched! She doesn't often cuddle as a lap cat, but will snuggle up at night, or sit next to you on the couch. She eats catnip like a dainty lady and kills the illusive laser dot very thoroughly with great enthusiasm! She gets along with most other cats, even allowing some to groom her face. Aside from being completely deaf, Ginger has been previously declawed, so she would need to be strictly indoors.
