Scooter is a 2 year old male Chihuahua, about 8 pounds. Scooter is a very sweet boy who has had a rough life. He jumped off the bed and broke his leg so bad that his surgery cost $6000 to repair it. The rescue found a great surgeon and had him all fixed up and he is doing great. However, he needs to be watched carefully so he doesn't jump off the bed or couch or any place high! He loves to play with his doggie buddies, go for walks and snuggle! He is a bit shy with strangers at first but warms up quickly. He is a rescue favorite and a wonderful boy! This dog is up to date on vaccines, rabies, micro chipped and neutered/spayed. Adoption contract required and fees apply. Additional information: Smidget Rescue is not a shelter and dogs cannot be seen at the Rescue location. All dogs are fostered throughout the Puget Sound area and are brought to adoption events where they can be met by prospective adopters. Adoptable dogs can only be met at adoption events hosted each weekend. For a list of scheduled events go to: www.facebook.com/SmidgetRescue/events . All adoptable dogs are spayed or neutered at 6 months of age or older. Puppies under 6 months of age require a spay/neuter deposit. Adoption fees cover: spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccines, rabies, microchip, worming and heart worm tests (if dog is from out of state). HOUSE TRAINING IS NEVER GUARANTEED. ____________________________________________ APPLICATIONS CAN BE OBTAINED BY EMAIL ONLY. Adoption process includes application, meet and greet, home visit and reference check. Notice: We do not ship dogs out of state. If you live within a five-hour radius of Seattle, WA, (such as Portland, Vancouver B.C., etc.), we can arrange for a home visit. If your home seems like a great fit for the dog you would like to adopt, you must then drive to meet the dog at one of our weekend events or at the fosters home.
