About Winnie

Winnie is a 3 and 1/2 year old 45lbs fixed female. She loves eating food and chewing bones, but bully sticks are her favorite! Whenever she can she loves chasing balls, two of which are her favorite toys. She will destroy a tennis ball in a minute and is very tough on flimsy toys but does not chew the house or tear up pillows. She's a belly-to-belly snuggler who occasionally snores, and you better watchout because she will give you kisses. She's very vocal with grunts, snorts, groans, wimpers, and growls. My little cutie. She is also scared of her own farts. She will wake up and run across the room when she toots in her sleep. She has some good energy and requires a couple walks or sessions of fetch per day. Currently needs a heartworm and parvo vaccination but is current with rabies and fleas (with paperwork). I have had her with me for 3 years and I love her dearly but she and my other dog have started fighting since I moved from Chicago to Lincoln a month ago. After an escalation between the two female pitts, Winnie needed stitches and I've decided to separate the dogs. I feel it is in their best interest to rehome. I would say Winnie has been an ideal dog other than the recent behavior. Now that the dogs have been shaken up in addition to their fighting there have been instances of urinating in the house. Last month I would have said Winnie was house trained but now feel it should be mentioned. When she is feeling uncomfortable or stressed she will chase her tail and spins in circles. With Winnie I will provide a bag of food, her bed, her two favorite balls, a leash, her polka-dot collar, and a choke chain (even though she's very good on a leash). She will also come with a winter jacket and a fleece. It is not unusual for her to get dirty ears or ear infections. I will provide her opened bottle of ear cleaner as well. The ear cleaner is simple to use and very effective. An application will have to be completed at nebraskanokill.org to adopt Winnie.
