About Pepe

Pepe is a special little boy that comes with a story. Pepe is a 2 year old Shih Tzu who has limited sight which is congenital. He can see big things, but he will bump into smaller things. To make it worse he was out on the streets on his own. He was found as a stray extremely thin from lack of food. He still only weighs 12 pounds and we are trying to put a few more pounds on him. But Pepe is a fighter. He has no fear and explores his surroundings without hesitation. Pepe has a cheerful disposition and is a lively little guy. He loves squeaky toys and anything he can chase that makes noise so he can follow it. Because of his limited sight he needs a home without a lot of stairs. He would love a fenced yard to play in, but would also do fine going out with his person on a leash. He just needs someone dedicated to keeping him safe. Pepe gets along with other dogs and needs another dog to follow and give him more confidence. He would also like it if there were another dog to play with because he loves to wrestle and roll around with a canine friend. He would also like a buddy to share a dog bed with to stay warm this winter. This little guy likes his freedom, so he is not a fan of being crated. To keep him safe when his people are away, a bathroom or laundry room is much preferred over a kennel. Pepe is quite the little snuggler at night and likes to sleep curled up next to his people to sleep. He gives sweet morning kisses when it is time to get up. It doesn't take long to fall in love with this little guy.
