Maren (AKA Roxie) is 10 years young & such a happy go lucky girl! You can see it here for yourself! Roxie is listed as a Pit Bull/Lab Mix but her foster mom thinks she looks much more like a Boxer Mix. Roxie is spayed, up to date on her vaccines, and her preventatives. Roxie is currently living in a home with three other dogs ranging from a 10 y.o. sometimes cranky chihuahua, 30 pound OPH dog Otis, to a 60 pound pit bull mix as well as a cat. Roxie gets along with all the dogs in her foster home and is learning that as much fun as it is and as much as the cat might antagonize her cats aren't for chasing! Roxie is crate trained. Loves to play, and is also very happy with her head in your lap. This waggy tail girl is all smiles and ready for her forever home! This dog tested positive for heartworm disease before arriving to the rescue. Heartworm disease is transmitted to a dog through a bite from an infected mosquito producing a positive test in six months. OPH will treat the dog and provide two weeks' recovery time prior to adoption. Potential adopters will receive detailed information on the disease and their role in completing the recovery process from OPH's heartworm coordinator. With monthly preventatives, the disease is completely preventable. Read about heartworm disease here: https://www.heartwormsociety.org/pet-owner-resources/heartworm-basics#q12
