About Scruffalupagus

Hi, I'm Scruffalupagus! I am a fun, energetic, loyal 3 year old. My family loves me very much but their life is changing in a big way (moving to a smaller place & mom has a new job) and are afraid my bad behaviors will come back when I don't get enough attention and exercise. I like my dog brother, but he is blind and sometimes I bully him (or worse), so mom has to be on her toes when we are together. I like my cat brother, but I play pretty rough with him. He can tolerate it, as he is a big cat, but I will probably be too rough with a little kitty. I love my human siblings, but they are all over 10. I can get nervous around little kids. I love to chase flys! I am SUPER smart. I am very food motivated, so it is easy to teach me tricks. I've been to basic obedience training, but I also know how to shake, dance on my hind feet, hop across the room on my hind feet, & jump through a hoop. I would have so much fun in an agility class! I am on medication for anxiety, but the vet thinks that with a stable home, lots of exercise and up to a year of the medicine, I will learn to be more relaxed and less worried. I get cuddly in the early morning and late at night, but other times am very energetic. I need my new family to play with me lots and take me on lots of walks (I pull on the leash at the beginning and end of walks (get so excited to see home!) but in the middle, I'm calm and obedient.).
