About Bentley

Lab / Pit Bull
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

One of the first things people ask about Bentley is 'What kind of dog is that?' given his unusual looks, followed by 'What a dog!' given his incredibly bubbly personality. Such a unique dog must have an equally unique story and Bentley is no exception! Bentley's story starts with him landing in a municipal shelter where this active and friendly dog had no outlet for his energy. He was then transferred to our partner organization, Save Our Strays, that saw the potential and drive in Bentley and started working towards getting him into a board and train facility that would benefit him. That's where Adopt-A-Dog and Ernesto at DOGS 360 came in; to train and work with Bentley until we could find him a home. This program had Bentley working with both Ernesto and other dogs daily to help work on his manners and also provide much-needed socialization. The greatest boon is that this program was in a home environment, so Bentley got a foster experience while also becoming the dog we knew he could be. Due to his stay at DOGS 360, Bentley has made great strides in his socialization skills as well as his manners. We learned that Bentley is a tug master who has plenty of canine friends. He is the ideal companion for a family that likes to be outdoors (he LOVES going for bike runs) and would be by your side on a hike. Bentley's ideal future family would learn all the training he has learned and continue to give Bentley the structure and consistency he needs to flourish. For that reason, we would love to see Bentley in a home with older kids that could learn his training alongside him. He is a friendly and goofy dog that is waiting to become your next family member, so why not come and meet him today? You can't say no to a face like that!
