Notes from the Trainer: Cleaver is a smart younger dog who is currently under the supervision of our Staff Trainer because he is not doing well with other dogs. Currently, we recommend he be the only pet in his new home and that he be adopted with the understanding that he is a not a candidate for daycare or dog parks. Cleaver is smart, learns new things quickly, has plenty of energy without being hyper and enjoys working with his people. We would love to talk to further about Cleaver, so if you're interested, send us an email! Our trainer would be happy to discuss his needs. From his Foster: Cleaver absolutely loves meeting people so if you are interested in adopting, or just spending some time with a very fun dog, we'd be happy to set up a meeting. Cleaver is a sweetheart and a wonderful pet. He likes leisurely walks, running in the backyard, playing with his friends, exploring, and relaxing. He absolutely loves cuddling and spending time with people. He is housetrained and only chews the toys we have given him, he can sit, lay down, touch, and shake. He is not a barker, though when he gets comfortable in a home he may bark at approaching strangers until he gets to meet them. Though he does not fetch, he loves tug of war and playing chase. Due to his friendly and loving personality he sometimes jumps up to say hi or gives a few too many kisses, but we are practicing impulse control in greetings. He is quick and strong, and is very tempted to chase squirrels, birds, and rabbits. He does NOT do well with cats. Breed Estimate: Boxer Mix Gender: Male Approximate weight: 40 lb.
