About Talia & Ivy

Adoption Fee: $50
Domestic Cat
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Talia (patch tabby) and Ivy (calico) are littermate sisters born sometime in July 2016. They were trapped with their feral mother and third sister when they were about 7 weeks old. The mother was TNR'd and the kittens came to live with me. I had them fixed and vaccinated. Talia (or Tally as we sometimes call her) and Ivy were placed together but about 5-6 months later the adopters returned them due to 'allergies.' They've been back with me ever since but we cannot keep them long term. So they are looking for a new forever home! Because of their feral start, or possibly experiences in their first home, they can act a bit shy when approached. However they really are sweethearts and very loving when they feel safe, which is when you are sitting or lying down. At night in bed or when we are sitting down they will jump up to headbutt and snuggle, purring up a storm. Talia loves to snuggle right up against me while I sleep. She's also a very vocal talker and will yowl an entire conversation with you. Ivy is quieter but when she is feeling affectionate she is VERY affectionate, pushing her head hard against your hand or side and basically trying to merge with you! They get along fine with other cats but REALLY do not like our dogs. An ideal home would be an adult/adults or a family with older kids, no dogs, who understand that they are a little shy and don't mind giving them their space in exchange for snuggles on the couch and in bed. Treat them with canned food and you'll win them over even quicker!
