I am the absolute sweetest horse in the world, but my owner is moving to Europe in January and she can not take me with her :(. I don't want to leave her, but she truly wants to do what is best for me so that I am safe. I hope that whoever I go with, she will be allowed to visit me again... Just a heart-wrenching scenario, of two beings who really love each other, and life is taking them in a new direction. Summer is a perfect beginners horse for a little girl who wants to learn about horses and who wants to do lead line. She is super gentle, well mannered, and very calm. She is super laid back but can be encouraged to trot if you play with her. Going fast is NOT her thing. She has been barefoot her whole life and English trained. She has been on the trail, fine with traffic, people and other animals. She has an opinion about other horses, but once she knows them she gets along with them. She is lacking muscle, (JMO) needs a diet change (she can not have alfalfa!), and some light exercise to help with her top-line. She is also a little stiff in her hips and hocks. The owner has been giving her Cosequin, but she would also benefit from some chiro and acupuncture. Summer is looking for her final home where she can be loved by a child. Since she is small and lacking muscle, riding is not recommended for her at this time.
